Narayani & Jason Kalidas invite you to an evening of bhakti with a Kírtan Concert where they will be joined by the fabulous violinist Lucy Crisfield. They share a powerful and intuitive dynamic that takes you on a deep journey as you experience heart opening through Kírtan.
Kírtan is an ancient and effective yogic practice of singing together to open the heart and connect to the self. Meditative and ecstatic chants are led by Narayani’s deeply resonant voice. Sanskrit mantras are set to beautiful, yet simple, melodies with Jason’s dynamic Tabla rhythms and Bansuri. The chants are easy to pick up and give a wonderful opportunity to discover the power of your own voice.
About Narayani and Jason Kalidas
Narayani is a devotional singer, voice work facilitator and yoga teacher. Her personal journey with yoga and sound, and the discovery of her powerful and deeply resonant voice had such a profound and transformative impact on her life that she passionately shares this through devotional music and chanting, voice circles and workshops, as well as teaching yoga.
Renowned Tabla and Bansuri player Jason Kalidas tours with some of the worlds greatest kírtan artists including Dave Stringer and Bhagavan Das. He also gives solo concerts and Nada Yoga sound journeys.
