France: Festival d’Avalon 2010 – With Artistic Direction of Maria João Pires

| 08-31, 2010

Hameau de Saint Hugon – Arvillard | 3 – 5 Septembre, 2010

The Festival d’Avalon 2010 will take place at the Karma Ling Institute in Savoie – in the French Alps – under the artistic direction of Maria João Pires. From September 3 to 5 the festival offers a range of exceptional internationally renowned artists, blending musical genres: classical sacred music, trance and electro, world music and jazz.

A forum will be moderated by prominent representatives of spirituality and ecology, with round tables, panel discussions and workshops around two main themes:

  • Why and how the link to the land is the condition for personal and social harmony ?
  • Be the change you want to see happen !

The forum will be moderated, among others, by Sheikh Khaled Bentounes, Pierre Rabhi, Denys Rimpoche, Philippe Desbrosses … In parallel, there will be a meeting place that will take the form of a tent city to explore the projects and initiatives of friends and partners, including AISA.

the Festival…

Celebrating life, nature and the brotherhood has always been at the heart of the lives of women and men of all continents.
The Festival d’Avalon revives this former tradition, by integrating ecology, spirituality and music in the naturally sacred dimension of the party.

The “day” of the party is the occasion for meeting and exchange of information and “now how”. The “night” becomes a space of metamorphosis and communion through music, rhythm and dance.
