Brazil: 200 Hour Yoga Alliance Certified Teacher Training Course With David Lurey, Mirjam Wagner and Camila Reitz

David Lurey, Mirjam Wagner and Camila Reitz will be guiding a “Find Balance 200 Hour Yoga Alliance Certified Teacher Training Course” in Garopaba, state of Santa Catarina, Brazil.

This month long intensive course is designed to build a solid foundation in the practice of Vinyasa Yoga. Daily ásana practices will explore various aspects of Vinyasa with a wide range of sequences and focuses.

The 2011 course will be the 3rd year in a row for this training. David Lurey will accept 34 students to the course and it will prove to be an international group experience that will open all participants to the vast expansiveness that is the world of Yoga. With anatomy and physiology of ásanas study, students will deepen the awareness of the body, mind, spirit connection in preparation for you to take your practice to the world and as a teacher. The program will help you develop a deep personal practice to inform your teaching as well provide the skills to be a great yoga teacher. There will be lots of practice teaching, group evaluations and feedback to help you discover and fine tune their teaching voice.

In addition to the ásana practice, this training is a transformational experience that includes group dynamic work, personal coaching as well as interactive games and exercises that are designed to open new areas of awareness and integration of Yogic principles into daily life. This course is specifically designed to bring forth the highest qualities in students and to reveal the hidden places that often hold us back from our deepest potential.

The teachers have selected Enchanted Mountain (Montanha Encantada) in Santa Catarina for this training. That beautiful and complete retreat centre has fully equipped Yoga studios, comfortable and cosy living arrangements and a full kitchen staff to serve our vegetarian meals.



About David Lurey

David Lurey was introduced to Yoga in 1996 and since then has developed into a talented, focused and caring teacher. Studying different aspects of yoga with various experienced teachers all over the world has deeply prepared David to help you embrace all aspects of your practice.

Radiating enthusiasm and love, David teaches Vinyasa Yoga for a connection to the self, AcroYoga for connecting to other humans and Green Yoga as a way to connect more deeply with the planet and cosmos. Motivating music is an important part of this Yoga progression.

David takes students through opening and often challenging postures while encouraging the magical power of breath and mental stillness to cultivate the true loving nature of the heart. His classes invoke the natural elements in yoga practice to balance active lifestyles with self-reflection and meditation.

David is the primary teacher for this program and will lead roughly 145 hours.


About Mirjam Wagner

Mirjam Wagner is a certified Pilates and Yoga teacher with many years of various massage and healing arts practice, Swiss born Mirjam has found her total passion in the study and application of Osteopathy. Her complete and profound knowledge of the human body, as well as enthusiasm and sincere interest in human well being, give her access to healing modalities that treat the true origin of most types of physical pain.

Today, Mirjam lives and works on Mallorca, Spain. She also teaches anatomy classes in different countries around the world for a variety of programs from Yoga teacher training to body/mind conferences. She is driven by a strong curiosity that feeds her purpose to investigate a deeper understanding of nature and the miracle of the human body.



About Camila Reitz

Camila Reitz was born in Brazil and practicing and studying yoga for the last 17 years. She has traveled to India three times to deepen her Yogic living. Among the teachers that inspired and shaped her teachings are Dena Kingsberg, David Lurey, Gloria Arieira and Clayton Horton. She is the director of Yogashala in Florianopolis and has a degree in Physical Education. She teaches trainings and workshops in Brazil and other countries. Her goal as a teacher is to inspire students to practice and find their own inner freedom.
