Portugal: WORLD YOGA DAY

The Federação Lusa do Yoga (Portugal) celebrates another World Yoga Day. WORLD YOGA DAY is the day of Ahimsá – respect for life, for the END of the blood spill and aggression, around us, and throughout the Planet, for world peace, for promoting the Culture of Peace, for prevention of the conflicts and for security, for solidarity, for Inter Ethnic Equality, for a Fair and Global and Planetary Awareness, for ecology and sustainability, for the honor, dignity and Women’s equality, for protection of the Children, for the end of thirst and hunger, for the reduction of global inequality, for freedom, for Education and Research, for the Arts, for respect for the animals, it is a day for Galactica and Cosmic Consciousness. Like in 2008, in 2009 we wish to gather Guests of Honor from the main national political parties, representatives of major religions of the world, the Yoga Schools appraised on the entire planet, relevant personalities from Portugal and Galicia. This is a project that, because of its noble objectives, simultaneously gathers support from several national and international personalities.

– Performances of Traditional Indian Music
– Demonstrations of Advanced Yoga
