Portugal: Intermediate Yoga Teacher Training with Swami Asokananda at Quinta da Calma

Swami Asokananda, President of the Satchidananda Áshram (Yogaville, Virgina, USA) and Integral Yoga International, a disciple of Sri Swami Satchidananda, will be in the Algarve, at Quinta da Calma, to teach the Intermediate Yoga Teacher Training of Integral Yoga – a 3 Week Residential Course.

This course will enhance your development as an Integral Yoga teacher and increase your capacity to serve your students .
Intermediate ásanas and variations are presented as well as intermediate pránáyáma practices. Deep study of the teachings of the Bhagavad Gítá is also included, expanding your grounding in the universal teaching of Yoga for personal development and deepening your understanding for teaching.
More advanced understanding of anatomy and physiology and how it relates specifically to yoga ásanas.
This is a wonderful opportunity to meet and spend time with other Integral Yoga teachers, to share experience and new ideas, and to find creative solutions to problems encountered in teaching.
Curriculum
- Full details and guidance for teaching Hatha Yoga II
- Optional poses for this level
- How to modify and adjust the poses for the individual
- Course in the Bhagavad Gítá
- Further study of pránáyáma and meditation practice and theory
- Physiology and anatomy
- Workshops on your own personal practice of ásana, pránáyáma, and meditation
Certification: On completing the course satisfactorily you will receive a Diploma qualifying you to teach Integral Yoga Hatha II – Intermediate Level.
Pre-requisite: The course is available to all Yoga teachers who have completed Basic Teacher Training.
