About Stéphane Goffin Sensei 6th dan
Born on October 28, 1968 in Belgium, Stéphane Goffin Sensei begins in the martial arts at age 6. He begins in Judo and at the age of 10 he begins the practice of Aikido with Léon and Christiane Beguin.
In 1986 he receives the first dan of Aikido and, in parallel, during this period, he practices Thai boxing for almost three years. Even at this time he participates in his first internship with Sensei Christian Tissier.
In 1994 Stéphane Goffin Sensei founded the Tada Ima Dojo in the North Zone of São Paulo, one of the few places dedicated exclusively to the practice of Aikido.
In 1996 he began practicing Jiu-Jitsu, and participated in some competitions of Jiu-Jitsu and Grappling.
In 1999, he received the 5th dan from Master George Stobbaerts. The 5th Dan of Aikkika was received from Christian Tissier Shihan.
In July 2012 Stéphane Goffin receives the 6th Dan from Georges Stobbaerts Hanshi, and the 6th dan Aikikai in January 2013, under the appointment of Sensei Christian Tissier Shihan.
Currently, Stéphane Goffin teaches daily (dojos, schools, sports complexes) and guides internships in different countries. He is also the Aikido technical director of the portuguese SHIN GI TAI Association.
Stéphane continues to receive training from his teachers and continues to practice under the supervision of other specialists, having particular interest in the teachings of Endo Sensei.
