Online Retreat: Discovering the Melody of Silence
with Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche
April 3 to 5, 2020

The current situation of world pandemic of the coronavirus is forcing the majority of the face-to-face events to either stop or be carried out online. Thus, due to the current coronavirus pandemic, the Spring Retreat, annually guided by Tenzin Wangya Rinpoche in person in Serenity Ridge – Virginia – USA, will be broadcast Online over the Internet.

So, this is a unique opportunity to watch the teachings of an excellent teacher of the Bön tradition – the oldest spiritual tradition in Tibet, which dates back many thousands of years ago. Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche is a competent teacher, founder of the Ligmincha International School, and of many Practice Centers worldwide. He is the author of many books, namely, The Tibetan Yogas of Dream and Sleep, or Awakening the Luminous Mind, and teaches Dzogchen, the highest spiritual tradition in Bön.

Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche will offer three days of live teaching under the title Discovering the Melody of Silence, with the support of Marcy Vaughn.

This personal practice retreat will be broadcast live through Zoom. All teaching sessions will be recorded and available for download, so that participants can watch them at their convenience.

What is the sound of a true voice, which is not moved by ignorance or confusion? A true voice comes from the unlimited openness of being and the awareness that recognizes it. In this retreat, we will engage with the healing power of collective silence and sacred singing, to touch that deep connection through which we can discover the sacred space within us and throughout life.
The silence is alive, within us and around us. It is luminous – a source of healing, warmth, presence. More than not speaking or controlling negative internal speech, when we release the effort and rest deeply in the support that silence offers, we discover a profound peace. Consciousness, free from effort, appears fresh and without artificiality, illuminating the sacred dimension of life. This is the music of silence. Hence our true voice emerges, a voice that has the power to benefit ourselves and others and create positive changes in the world.
Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche will guide us to discover and listen to the inner melody of silence that lies within ourselves, and to rest in its healing power. Marcy Vaughn will guide practice sessions. This retreat is open to all.

If attending this retreat we strongly encourage you to participate in all sessions and to take a break from social media, news and entertainment, as much as possible for its duration.
